About Michael Collins
Michael Collins is an economist with over 20 years of consulting experience in leisure and entertainment real estate. Michael is the fourth generation of his family in the visitor attractions and entertainment industry and is passionate about delivering long-term successful ventures where the concept and market demand are perfectly matched.
Michael’s experience with LDP includes projects around the globe from theme park and attractions feasibility, due diligence for sales and acquisitions, economic impact, improvement and development strategy, sports and entertainment venue appraisals, resorts and mixed-use development strategy and operator and investor solicitation.
Following completion of his MBA in 1998, Michael joined Economics Research Associates where he began consulting on a wide variety of leisure and entertainment projects. Michael was a senior associate at ERA and worked on assignments throughout the MENA region. Michael set up his own consulting company in 2004 and later founded LDP with longtime collaborator Yael Coifman.
Michael has worked for a majority of the major players in worldwide attractions operations, as well as many investment groups, developers and public sector organisations.
Michael Collins will discuss the future of the attractions industry and review trends observed by LDP in their entertainment and visitor attractions projects globally. He will focus on how to embrace these trends to improve performance and visitor experience for attractions of all scales. Case studies and benchmarks will be used to illustrate the impact of emerging trends.
