Works on the ambitious super park project at Hemsby Beach will start this month following the approval of Richardson's Leisure's planning application at the end of September.
Hemsby Beach Holiday Village will emerge as a combination of Richardson’s Leisure adult-only holiday village together with its more family-friendly holiday park. The combination of these two parks will be situated at Beach Road in Hemsby, covering a total of 45 acres.
Additionally, Richardson’s Leisure's £10M project will also include five luxury lodges, 117 chalets, 230 caravans and 19 bungalows. Prior to this new extension the park had already seen the development of 130 caravans in the past two years.
Richardson’s CEO, Greg Munford, explained that the new and improved park aims to cater to all tastes and budgets.
“Our customers have always loved this location – it’s a two-minute walk to miles of unspoilt beaches and just a short distance to the Broads National Park, so it made absolute sense to invest in the area and upgrade the park,” said Munford.
“We’re absolutely committed to Hemsby and can’t wait to welcome back our regulars as well as a whole new generation of holidaymakers when we re-launch in 2018.”
Work on the extension and refurbishment of the resort will take place over the winter with the hopes to reopen the entire resort in time for the summer of 2018. Once complete, the ambitious ‘super park’ will include a new restaurant, swimming pool and leisure complex as well as a sports bar and other leisure activities such as archery, snorkelling, tennis, football, basketball, fencing, zorbing, sea scooters and cycling.
